An Epidemiological Survey on Cholera in Suh-Chun Gun, 1969.

Abstract
An epidemiologic study on cholera outbreak in Suh-chun gun, Chung nam province, during the period from august 29 to september 25, 1969 was conducted. The results obtained were as follows:
1. Eighty two point seven percent of the total case was occupied by lower income class like as farmer or fisherman.
2. Average daily incidence of the case was 5.8, and the highest day of incidence was 36 cases occurred on September the second during this epidemic period.
3. Suspected taken foods before onset were fish (35. 5%) and shellfish (31. 2%). Therefore, sea foods were supposed to be the most suspicious vehicle of this epidemic.
4. The cases complained of serious vomiting, diarrhea, muscle twitching or paralysis, and dehydration, and the other hand, of slight fever and abdominal pain.
5. Carrier was detected 0.5% among family of patients and 0.7% was detected from general population of these epidemic area during the period.
